Introductory Hang Gliding Class

This introductory class is perfect for the first time flyer. Without the mountain, Miami Hang Gliding uses a method similar to parasailing, with a USHGA certified tandem instructor, a boat and a rope. But unlike parasailing, when altitude is reached on the hang glider the rope is left behind and you are free to fly!

Level 1 Hang Gliding

The Level I program is your entry into the world of modern hang gliding. From the protected waters of south Biscayne Bay, Miami Hang Gliding's custom designed boat will tow you in the pilot harness, and a certified instructor safely into the air. When released from the towline at over 1,000 feet, you will literally glide across the air, getting a bird’s eye view of Miami and the keys, the way they were meant to be seen, by water and by air!

Level 2 Hang Gliding

This course is your continuation into the world of modern hang gliding. You will perfect the skills learned in Level I, in preparation for solo flight. All flights will be tandem with a USHGA certified instructor as you soar through the Southern Florida skies!

Hang Gliding Pre-Land Program

After you have successfully completed the Level I and II programs, you will have a basic ability to fly solo under the guidance of an instructor. The Pre-Land course is designed to refine your solo skills and prepare you to fly in more challenging conditions over land. The combination of solo and booster flights with the instructor will improve your competence in existing skills, and begin development of new skills. This course should be augmented with further Ground School and Video training.
